Passion: Empowering women

A few years ago, Kim found herself in the midst of a career change.  Although she had no idea which direction her career path was headed, she knew that whatever the future held for her was going to take her one step closer to fulfilling her life purpose.  The problem was which way to look.

Kim’s career experience spans many business sectors:  retail, recruiting, consulting, coaching, training, marketing, management and sales.  Yet what might appear to be a mixed bag of jobs, has now brought her full-circle to living her passion today.

Kim began her career working for a women’s retail clothing chain.  She loved working with the customers and seeing their excitement after finding the perfect outfit.   She then transitioned into the recruiting industry where she witnessed how by connecting individuals with the perfect career she could change lives.  Next Kim began working with the chiropractic profession, where chiropractors and their teams benefited from her natural talent for planning and organization.  “With a dream and a plan to achieve it, there’s nothing you can’t do,” says Kim.  She should know, it turns out she possesses a unique talent for empowering others to focus on their strengths, and achieve their full potential in the process.

Today she puts that talent to work for Soulspring.  Her high energy, creative and encouraging style leaves an indelible mark on every aspect of the organization—from blog post to training tools, website to workshops.  It was in her own pursuit of her life’s work that the “big idea” was originally inspired; the small group of women, each with different experiences to share, meeting monthly within their homes, learning from and supporting each other.

As Kim originally described the concept to the very first Soulspring Group, “Maybe women who are lacking confidence would gradually begin to feel a little more empowered.  Maybe women who need acknowledgment in their lives could find it within the group.  Maybe some would discover a hidden talent or rediscover a passion that they put aside to focus on career or family.  Maybe instead of competing as women we can support each other to follow our dreams!”

Little did she know at that time what it would come to mean for so many, that she and her sisters carry out this very important mission.  “We’re on a women’s empowerment crusade,” says Kim.  “I fully expect that together we will change the world.”

Passion: To spread happiness

When asked at a Savoring Life Retreat several years ago, “Why were you put on this Earth?” Becky responded, “To spread happiness.”  Completely unsure of what exactly that meant for her life, she pushed it to the back of her mind—until now.

With the evolution of Soulspring Groups, Becky now sees her true passion coming to life and recognizes how all along she’s been on a happiness crusade.  “Women are happiest when they are lost in their passions,” she says, and that’s been the case for her.

Always interested in the technical aspects of design she entered the male-dominated architecture and drafting field where she thrived on the fast pace.  While being the lone woman in a sea of men can be daunting, Becky’s enthusiasm was contagious.  Soon she was leading an inspirational movement across the company by implementing motivational programs designed to increase productivity, teamwork and fun in the workplace.

It’s her gift for motivation, inspiration and fun that Becky offers to the members of Soulspring Groups and other women across the country.   Her flair for fun can be felt in her Soul Sisters Blog entries and Soulspring’s training and empowerment tools and resources.

Becky is also a professional photographer.  Her camera has become just one more tool she uses to empower and lead others to live a life focused on their strengths and talents.  “You see a different side of people when you look at them through the lens,” says Becky.  Her Picture Your Passions workshop and motivational eCard series has been popular among women of all ages, helping them envision a passion-filled life and implement a plan to achieve it.
